The four of them get into our inappropriate objects of pop-cultural affection--or the many times each of them has been told they were wannabes, or didn’t belong for being POC who like “problematic pop objects.” Befitting their idyllic campus setting, the panel gets into how School Daze vs. Dear White People (the TV series) each explore the minefield of desire and student culture at universities. Wynter praises Hustlers and tells us why J. Lo is the hardest working woman in show business. Karen gets into the “hard to watch,” but nevertheless must-watch Netflix series on a serial rape case, Unbelievable with Merrit Wever and Toni Collette. Plus, we have more Nuo-Lingo for you, while Kiese and Alysia bring you two slappin’ songs of the week.
